SGMY’s Review of Yantra Singapore
If you’re in the mood for a memorable Indian meal, Yantra is a great spot to check out. The menu offers a delicious mix of classic and contemporary Indian dishes that really stand out.
I highly recommend starting with the Chaat Banarasi—it’s a burst of flavors with sweet, tangy, and spicy notes, and the crispy lentil dumplings give it a fun texture.
The Chicken Malai Tikka is another favorite; it’s incredibly tender and full of flavor, thanks to the yogurt and spice marinade.
For mains, the Purani Dilli Murgh Makhani is a must-try. The butter chicken is rich, creamy, and smoky, pairing perfectly with their soft, fluffy naan.
If you’re a seafood lover, the Lobster Chiney Kebab is a treat—juicy lobster tail in a fragrant coconut milk marinade that’s simply divine.
The Chingri Malaikari also shines with its succulent prawns and rich, creamy coconut sauce. It’s a dish that’s both comforting and indulgent.
Vegetarians are not left out here either. The Palak Anjeer Kofta is fantastic, with spinach and fig dumplings in a luscious coconut gravy. It’s a delightful blend of textures and flavors.
However, I was a bit disappointed with the Badal Jam, Flax Seed Labneh. The flavors felt a bit flat and didn’t quite have the punch I expected. It was good, but not as exciting as some of the other dishes on the menu.
To end on a sweet note, the Bhapa Doi is a unique dessert that I loved. The steamed sweet yogurt has a rich, creamy texture and a delicate flavor that’s perfect after a hearty meal.
Yantra definitely knows how to impress with its flavors, making it a great place to satisfy your Indian food cravings.
