SGMY’s Review of Kintamani Indonesian Restaurant Singapore
I recently visited Kintamani Indonesian Restaurant, and I have to say, it’s a great spot for authentic Indonesian flavors. The Satay Ayam was my favorite—juicy and tender chicken skewers with a smoky char that makes every bite delicious.
The Rendang Daging Sapi, which is beef simmered in thick coconut sauce, was another standout. The beef was so tender, and the sauce was rich and full of spices. It’s perfect if you love a hearty, comforting dish.
The Nasi Goreng was also very good. It’s a traditional fried rice that’s full of flavor, especially with the choice of chicken or seafood. I chose the seafood version, and the prawns were fresh and tasty.
The Ayam Panggang Bekakak, grilled chicken with black spicy sauce, was another highlight. The chicken was well-cooked, with a nice smoky flavor and just the right amount of spice.
I did try the Udang Goreng Mentega, deep-fried buttered prawns, which were crispy and had a nice buttery taste. However, I found them a bit too oily for my liking. If they were a little less greasy, they would have been perfect.
The Sayur Lodeh, a dish of stewed vegetables in coconut gravy, was creamy and comforting, a good choice to pair with the other dishes.
For dessert, the Pulut Durian Pengat is a must-try. The glutinous rice with durian paste was sweet and rich, a perfect ending to the meal.
Overall, Kintamani is a fantastic place to enjoy a wide range of Indonesian dishes, and I’ll definitely be back for more!
