SGMY’s Review of Surrey Hills Grocer Singapore
If you’re looking for delicious food and drinks in Singapore, Surrey Hills Grocer is definitely worth a visit. I recently tried several items from their menu, and I have to say, I was impressed!
First, the Chilli Prawn Pasta is a standout. The fusili pasta is perfectly cooked, and the prawns are juicy. The house-made rempah chili sauce adds a lovely spicy kick, and the tobiko gives it a nice touch of crunch. It’s a dish I could easily eat again and again.
I also loved the Tater Tots. They’re crispy on the outside and soft inside, and the nacho cheese dip just takes them to the next level. It’s such a fun snack to share with friends.
For sandwiches, the Hendurance really hit the spot. With French poulet ham, crispy bacon, and a fried egg, it’s packed with flavour. The roasted sweet potato gives it a nice sweetness that balances everything out. I also tried the Spam The Positivity sandwich, and while it was tasty, I felt the gochujang glaze was a bit too strong for my liking. It overpowered the other flavours a little, but still, it was enjoyable.
As for drinks, the Iced Mocha is fantastic. It’s rich and creamy, with just the right balance of coffee and chocolate. For something refreshing, I highly recommend the Rhubarb Lemonade – it’s tangy and sweet, making it a perfect thirst quencher on a hot day.
Overall, Surrey Hills Grocer offers some really tasty dishes and drinks. It’s a great spot to enjoy comforting food and try something new!
