SGMY’s Review Of Maccha House
I recently visited Maccha House, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. As a local foodie, I’m always on the lookout for great Japanese cuisine, and Maccha House did not disappoint.
I started with the Teriyaki Chicken & Onsen Egg Plate. The teriyaki chicken was perfectly cooked and flavorful, and the onsen egg added a rich, velvety texture to the dish. It came with a side of rice, salad, soup, and pickles, which made for a well-rounded meal. I also tried the Unagi Toji Plate, which featured tender eel with beaten eggs in a savory shoyu broth. It was a real treat for unagi lovers like me.
The Mentaiko Carbonara Udon with Onsen Egg was another standout. The creamy mentaiko-infused sauce paired with bacon and parmesan cheese was a delightful fusion of Japanese and Western flavors. The Beef Sukiyaki Hotpot Udon was equally impressive, with its rich sukiyaki broth and tender beef slices, providing a comforting and hearty option.
To accompany my meal, I had the Maccha Latte. The earthy and rich flavor of matcha was refreshing and paired well with the savory dishes.
However, not everything was perfect. I tried the Ginger Pork Plate, and found it to be a bit underwhelming. The ginger sauce lacked depth, making the dish less memorable compared to the others.
Overall, Maccha House offers a fantastic variety of Japanese dishes with a modern twist. The flavors are generally spot on, and the matcha drinks are a real highlight. Despite the minor flaw with the ginger pork, I highly recommend giving Maccha House a visit if you’re in the mood for quality Japanese cuisine.
