SGMY’s Review of Kung Jung Korean Restaurant Malaysia
Kung Jung Korean Restaurant offers a great variety of traditional Korean BBQ and dishes that will leave you satisfied.
One of the standout items is the so kal bi—tender, marinated spare ribs that are perfectly charbroiled, giving them a smoky and savory flavor that’s hard to resist.
The pah jeon, a Korean-style pancake with spring onions and seafood, is another excellent choice. It’s crispy, well-balanced, and perfect for sharing with friends or family.
For soup lovers, the kim chi jji gae brings a comforting warmth with its spicy kimchi broth, served with rice. The spice level is just right, making it both flavorful and hearty.
If you’re looking for something with a bit of heat, the topokki is a must-try. The stir-fried spicy rice cakes are chewy and full of bold flavors.
On the lighter side, the sikhye, a Korean sweet rice drink, offers a refreshing and mildly sweet finish to your meal, while the gyeran-jjim (steamed egg) is a soft and fluffy side that pairs well with the BBQ dishes.
While most of the dishes are delicious, some might find the ojing eo bok keum a bit too chewy, and the so hyeo gui could be an acquired taste for those unfamiliar with it. However, these are minor points in an otherwise excellent dining experience.
Overall, Kung Jung Korean Restaurant is a great spot to enjoy authentic Korean BBQ in a cozy setting, and it’s well worth a visit if you’re craving traditional Korean flavors.
