SGMY’s Review of IPPUDO Malaysia
I recently visited IPPUDO, a popular spot known for its authentic Japanese ramen, and I was pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of the dishes.
The Akamaru Special Ramen stood out as the star of the meal. The rich, creamy tonkotsu broth, combined with the spicy miso and garlic oil, created a deliciously complex flavor that was both comforting and satisfying. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the tender pork belly added a lovely, melt-in-your-mouth texture.
The Salmon Sashimi Salad was another highlight. It was fresh and light, with the rich salmon balancing nicely with the crisp greens. It felt like the perfect starter, setting the tone for a delicious meal ahead.
I also tried the Ippudo Pork Bun, which lived up to its reputation. The soft bun encased a generous portion of tender pork belly, making for a satisfying and flavorful bite.
On the downside, while the Kaedama, an extra serving of noodles, was a nice option for extending the ramen experience, I found that the noodles became a bit too soft in the remaining broth. It’s a minor detail, but one worth mentioning.
Overall, IPPUDO delivers an excellent dining experience with its well-crafted dishes and attention to detail. It’s a place I would happily return to for another round of their delicious ramen and other offerings.
