SGMY’s Review of GAMTAN Singapore
I recently tried GAMTAN Singapore, and I must say, the food was an amazing experience. Let me tell you about some of my favorites!
The Beef Tartare was a highlight for me. It was so fresh and tender, and the flavors were just perfect. I also loved the King Galbi—the short ribs were juicy and grilled to perfection, with just the right amount of smokiness. For pork lovers, the Flower Belly is a must-try. The marbled pork belly melted in my mouth, and it was so satisfying.
Their sets are great if you’re dining with friends. I tried Set 1: The King’s Delight, and it was a feast! The King Galbi paired beautifully with the Naengmyun, and the Soybean Stew added a comforting, hearty touch to the meal. Speaking of Naengmyun, I found the Bibim Naengmyun refreshing. The noodles had a spicy kick that made them stand out.
I couldn’t resist the Truffle Gamjajun either. The crispy potato pancakes with that earthy truffle flavor were simply addictive. Another favorite was the Steak Sotbap, with tender beef steak served over perfectly steamed rice.
If I had to pick something I didn’t love as much, it would be the Cold Naengmyun. While it was refreshing, I found the broth a little bland compared to the other dishes. It could’ve used more depth in flavor.
Overall, GAMTAN Singapore impressed me with its delicious food and variety. I’ll definitely be back to try more!
