SGMY’s Review of Flipper’s Singapore
If you’re looking for a cozy spot to satisfy your pancake cravings, Flipper’s is the place to be! I recently visited and couldn’t wait to dive into their famous Kiseki Pancakes. The Maple Butter Cream pancakes were a dream come true—fluffy and infused with sweet maple goodness. They simply melted in my mouth!
I also tried the Matcha & Azuki Bean pancakes, which were unique and delicious. The creamy Kyoto matcha combined beautifully with the sweet azuki bean paste, giving a lovely Japanese twist.
For a savory option, the Avocado Salmon dish caught my eye. It had smoked salmon, creamy avocado, and a spicy herb chicken sausage that added a nice kick. It was refreshing and filling at the same time.
However, I did find the Eggs Benedict a bit underwhelming. While the poached eggs were cooked perfectly, I felt the flavors were a bit lacking compared to the other dishes. It could use a little more seasoning to really bring out the ingredients.
On the other hand, the Chicken Mushroom baked rice was comfort food at its best! The cheesy goodness paired with tender chicken and mushrooms was simply delightful. And don’t forget the Flipper’s Truffle Fries—they were crispy and addictive, especially with the nacho cheese dip.
Overall, Flipper’s is a fantastic spot for anyone craving a mix of sweet and savory dishes. The flavors are mostly spot-on, and the pancakes alone make it worth a visit!
