SGMY’s Review Of Different Taste Singapore

I recently visited Different Taste Cafe & Restaurants, and I have to say, the food didn’t disappoint! I started with the Yang Chow Fried Rice, and it was such a comforting dish. The fried rice was fluffy, flavorful, and just the right amount of salty—nothing too fancy, but it hit the spot perfectly.

The Seafood Hor Fun was another highlight. The noodles were soft and coated in a rich, silky sauce, and the seafood tasted fresh. I love how the sauce tied everything together. It’s one of those dishes that you could eat any time of day.

The Mee Goreng was packed with flavor. The sweet and savory sauce, mixed with fresh seafood, was super satisfying. It’s one of my go-to dishes when I’m craving something bold and filling.

I couldn’t resist ordering the Prawn Paste Chicken, and it was crispy and juicy at the same time. The shrimp paste added an umami punch that made each bite so addictive. Their Salted Fish Fried Rice was another winner—full of strong flavors, with the salted fish adding just the right amount of saltiness to the rice.

However, I was a bit let down by the Crispy Chicken Wings. While they were crispy, they were a little bland compared to the other dishes I tried. I wish they had more seasoning or spice to elevate the flavor.

But overall, I’d definitely go back for more. The Sambal Kangkong was the perfect side—spicy and full of flavor, just the way I like it.
