I recently visited Cherry & Oak, and it was a delightful experience!
The first thing I tried was their Smoked Wagyu Satay Madura, which was incredibly tender and flavorful. The spicy peanut sauce complemented the smokiness of the beef perfectly.
Next up was the Nusantara Aglio Olio. The linguine was cooked just right, and the sautéed wild mushrooms added a lovely earthiness. The smoked king prawn on top was a real treat, adding a touch of luxury to the dish.
For brunch, I had the Smoked Portobello Truffle Open Toast. The combination of truffle oil, runny scrambled eggs, and smoked portobello mushroom on sourdough toast was heavenly. It was rich and satisfying, perfect for a late morning meal.
I couldn’t resist trying one of their Dutch Pancakes, and I went with the Forest Berries Baby Dutch Pancake. It was delightful! The fresh berries and mascarpone cheese made it a refreshing and indulgent treat.
The Tomato Pasta from the kids’ menu was a bit of a miss. It lacked the robust tomato flavor I was expecting, and the pasta was slightly overcooked. It’s definitely an area they could improve on.
Despite this small setback, Cherry & Oak’s ambiance is warm and inviting, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. Their beverage selection is also impressive – I loved their Gula Melaka coffee.
