SGMY’s Review Of Wakuda
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Wakuda, and let me tell you, it was an absolute culinary delight! From the moment I stepped in, the ambiance was captivating, with its modern yet elegant decor setting the tone for a memorable dining experience.
Now, onto the food – oh boy, where do I even begin? The menu at Wakuda is a testament to Chef Tetsuya Wakuda’s culinary mastery, offering a tantalizing array of Japanese delights that are sure to excite even the most discerning palate.
For starters, I highly recommend trying the Flan, a savory egg custard with grilled Japanese white corn that simply melts in your mouth. And if you’re a fan of seafood, the Big Eye Tuna served on toasted bread with wasabi and avruga caviar is an absolute must-try.
But the real showstopper for me was the Ōra King Salmon Maki. Each piece is a symphony of flavors, with the freshness of the salmon perfectly complemented by the kaiware, tenkasu, and wasabi mayo. It’s no wonder this maki is one of Wakuda’s most popular items!
And let’s not forget about dessert. The Wakuda House Special Soft Serve Miso Coconut Ice Cream is a revelation, creamy, indulgent, and with just the right balance of sweet and savory flavors.
Overall, my experience at Wakuda Singapore was nothing short of exceptional. The impeccable service, exquisite cuisine, and inviting ambiance all came together to create a dining experience that I won’t soon forget. If you’re a fan of Japanese cuisine, Wakuda is an absolute must-visit.
