SGMY’s Review of Tipsy Flamingo Singapore
I recently visited Tipsy Flamingo, and I must say, the experience was a real treat for the taste buds. The Mushroom Shrimp Salad was a great start, with the sesame dressing adding a delightful touch to the fresh mesclun salad and juicy shrimp.
The Wild Porcini Soup, rich with truffle oil, was earthy and comforting, making it perfect for mushroom lovers.
The Ebi Katsu Sando with Spicy Mentaiko was a standout. The crispy breaded prawn paired beautifully with the spicy mentaiko sauce, and the toasted brioche held everything together perfectly.
However, the Bikini Panini, while tasty, didn’t quite hit the mark for me. The serrano ham and manchego cheese combo was flavorful, but the truffle salsa was a bit too overpowering, overshadowing the other ingredients.
Among the tapas, the Spanish Garlic Prawns were a highlight. They were sautéed to perfection, and the garlic and chili added a nice kick. The Scallop Crudo was another dish that impressed me, with the cured scallops and saffron aioli melting in my mouth.
For the mains, the Grilled Pork Secreto was a winner. The Iberico pork was tender and juicy, and the mojo verde sauce added a vibrant, tangy note. But the Breaded Pork Chops, though nicely cooked, were slightly on the dry side. I would have preferred them to be juicier.
Overall, Tipsy Flamingo offers a great mix of flavors and textures, making it a spot worth revisiting, especially for their standout seafood dishes.
