SGMY’s Review Of Syip
I recently visited Syip, a charming spot in Singapore that offers a delightful mix of brunch items, mains, and sweet treats. As soon as I walked in, the cozy and inviting ambiance caught my attention.
I started my meal with the Creamy Chicken Scrambled Egg Croissant. The croissant was perfectly flaky, and the combination of creamy scrambled eggs and tender chicken was simply delicious. Next, I tried the Mentaiko Scallop Linguine. The linguine was cooked just right, and the mentaiko cream sauce with aburi scallops and ikura made each bite a delight.
The SYIP Big Breakfast was a hearty and satisfying dish. The scrambled eggs were fluffy, and the maple-glazed bacon added a nice touch of sweetness. The tater tots and sautéed mushrooms were tasty complements, making it a perfect brunch option.
I also enjoyed the Nori Salmon Bagel. The nori cream cheese and smoked salmon paired wonderfully with the fresh avocado and pickled cucumber. It was refreshing and flavorful.
For dessert, I had the Kahlua Tiramisu. It was a classic done right, with the right balance of espresso, Kahlua, and mascarpone cream. The dusting of cocoa powder added a nice finish.
However, the Brown Butter Pancetta Linguine was a bit disappointing. The crispy pork belly was tasty, but the dish was too rich and heavy for me.
Overall, Syip is a fantastic place for brunch or a casual meal. The variety on the menu and the quality of the dishes make it a spot worth visiting. I look forward to returning and trying more items from their menu.
