SGMY’s Review Of Picanhas’
Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at Picanhas’, a restaurant that offers a delightful array of dishes for steak and pasta lovers. From the moment I walked in, the cozy and inviting ambiance set the perfect tone for the meal.
One of the standout dishes was the Mentaiko Crepe Pasta. The combination of Mentaiko King Prawns, Onsen Egg, and Homemade Chilli Oil, served with Crepe. Ala Pasta, was simply divine. The flavors were rich and balanced, making every bite a treat.
Another highlight was the Queen of Steak, a cut of beef that was incredibly tender and bursting with flavor. It’s a must-try for any steak enthusiast.
The Peoples’ Burger was also a delightful surprise. The Picanha Patty, nestled between two charcoal buns and drizzled with bernaise sauce, was juicy and flavorful. It’s the kind of burger that leaves you wanting more.
The Picanha Don was another favorite, featuring tender Picanha steak, caramelized onion, pickled cabbage, Onsen egg, and fried garlic bits. Each component complemented the other, creating a harmonious and delicious dish.
On the side, the Truffle French Bean stood out with its combination of French Beans, Sweet Potato Hay, Cashew Nuts, and Truffle Cauliflower Puree. It was a perfect blend of textures and flavors.
To end the meal on a sweet note, the Chocolate Dream dessert was outstanding. The light crepe pancake with dark chocolate, rich fudgy brownie, creme patisserie, almond crumble, and beurre noisette was a chocolate lover’s dream come true.
However, not everything was perfect. While the dishes were mostly excellent, I found the Duck Steak to be slightly overcooked, which made it less enjoyable compared to the other mains.
Additionally, the Brussels Sprouts were a bit too buttery for my taste, overshadowing the natural flavor of the sprouts.
Overall, Picanhas’ delivers a wonderful dining experience with a few minor hiccups. The majority of their dishes are exceptional, making it a place worth visiting for anyone looking to enjoy a good meal.
