SGMY’s Review of Heun Kee Claypot Chicken Rice Malaysia
Heun Kee is a great spot for anyone looking to enjoy delicious, home-style Chinese food.
One of my favorites is their Curry Garoupa Fish Head, which has a rich, creamy curry packed with bold flavors. The fish head is cooked perfectly, and the portion size is satisfying.
Another standout dish is the Claypot Kampung Chicken with Chinese Wine. The chicken is tender, and the Chinese wine adds a fragrant, aromatic taste that makes this dish really special.
For soup lovers, their Pig Stomach with Pepper Soup is a must-try. The peppery broth is full of warmth, and the pig stomach is surprisingly tender. It’s comforting, especially on a rainy day.
When it comes to snacks, the Fried Chicken Wings are crispy, juicy, and simply delicious. They’re perfect as a light starter or even as a side dish.
Their drinks also add to the overall experience. I really enjoyed the Umbra Juice with Sour Plum. It’s refreshing, with a nice tangy flavor that’s just right after a heavy meal.
If there’s one thing that could be improved, it would be the variety of the Vegetables section. While they are cooked well, the selection can feel a little basic compared to the rest of the menu. Adding more unique vegetable dishes would bring more balance to the meal.
Overall, Heun Kee offers great food with strong flavors and comforting dishes. It’s a wonderful place for a casual meal with friends or family.
